Poem: It Happened Twice

Name: George Foster

Another day without any sort of miseries

Focused on a man with many moral victories

Surrounded by a large, loud happy crowd

With a wife, and a guard to look around

But as this man enjoyed his happy time

A hidden killer, about to make crime

He was unnoticed with his lethal gun

One or more shots, the deed was done

As the crowd screamed due to horrid fear

Quicker then he came, death disappeared

Eventually the killer was found and caught

But like his beloved victim, he too was shot

And while this tragedy seems bad

Never, should America be this sad

Just like a bunch of filthy, small lice

This awful crime had happened twice

And so for our presidents, Lincoln and Kennedy

Men whose deaths are now one with their legacy

May we remember you and scorn such crimes

No man should wish it happen any more times.
